Nick (played by Ben Price) is making the most of his freedom after the courts let the Underworld boss walk free for stealing £80,000 from grandmother Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) last year on Coronation Street.
After getting brother David (Jack P Shepherd) roped into his crimes, the young barber was given eight months behind bars as he was already serving a suspended sentence, leaving wife-to-be Shona Ramsay (Julia Goulding) devastated.
David made Shona promise to broach peace with his brother as too much heartache had happened and asked her to care for his children Max Turner (Harry McDermott) and Lily Platt (Brooke Malonie) whilst he was locked up.
Until now, Max and Lily seem to have taken to life with David a lot better than their loved ones would have thought but Nick sees differently next week on the ITV soap when he becomes a target of a violent outburst.
The drama begins when Nick discovers Max smashing up pots in Victoria Gardens and is appalled to see the youngster acting out.
Knowing this isn’t like Max at all, Nick tries to calm him down but is taken aback when the schoolboy takes a swing for his adopted uncle.
Nick is dealt another blow when Max tells the Underworld boss he attacked him because he blames the ruthless business man for letting David go to prison for his crimes.
After his violent outburst towards Nick, Max’s wayward behaviour rises its head once again later in the week at sister Lily’s birthday party.
Witnessing Max’s volatile nature, Shona is distraught and confides in Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) and Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) she is struggling.
Viewers will have to wait and see if Shona and Nick can put their differences aside to help Max, but it seems the youngsters behaviour won’t be claiming down anytime soon.
After his outburst, Max tells Shona he is taking his ADHD medication but viewers will discover he is lying as when no ones looking, he hides the tablets.
Max will manage to convince Shona there is nothing to worry about when she confronts him over an empty medication box, only for the youngster to produce a packet of tablets.
Will anyone uncover the reason behind Max’s volatile nature and get him the help he needs?
His wayward behaviour could prompt Shona to plead with mother-in-law-to-be Gail Platt (Helen Worth) to return to the cobbles.
The Plat household have been having to deal with their dilemmas without the matriarch after Gail fled to Thailand earlier this year following the fallout of Nick and David’s trial.
